Going longer without washing your scalp is not going to earn you extra credit.

Excess sebum, product build up and environmental stressors will wreak havoc on your scalp. Washing your hair more often isn’t so bad as it helps clear out the hair follicles for new growth, and allows the scalp to “breathe”.

“But won’t frequent washing dry out my scalp?”
Not necessarily! It depends on ingredients. To make our products safe for frequent use, we’ve included hydration powerhouse ingredients such as Pentavitin™. A plant based humectant that not only draws moisture to the scalp but also keeps it hydrated for as long as 72 hours! Now that’s a lesson you’ll want to take extra credit for.

Dry scalp v dandruff: same vibe, different drama.

Let’s clear the hair: dry scalp and dandruff aren’t the same thing, even if they both like to flake out on you. A dry scalp is exactly what it sounds like, a scalp that's thirsty.

Dandruff, on the other hand, is a little more high-maintenance. It’s caused by an overgrowth of yeast on the scalp (hi, microbiome imbalance) and shows up as bigger, oilier flakes that can stick to your hair or scalp. It might come with redness, irritation, and a whole lot of “why me?”

No judgment here. Both are super common and totally fixable with the right care. The key is knowing which flaky frenemy you’re dealing with.
