What is a scalp microbiome?
Just as our gut has live bacteria — AKA ‘microbes’— so does our scalp. With its own unique ecosystem, the scalp is host to a range of microbes (from bacteria and fungi through to environmental toxins) that live on the scalp’s surface and feed on sebum (your hair’s natural oil). I've been using a multitude of Straand products for a few months now, with visible results. But I still wasn't 100% happy. My sister purchased this Pre-Wash Scalp Oil a month ago and raved about it, so I decided to try it as well. Before I started using the oil, I'd have to wash every two days to stay itch free. Using the oil twice a week means I stay itch free for four days - double the time! I'm not scared of going to the hairdresser for fear of my dandruff grossing them out anymore. I'll just go with this oil applied in advance and everything will be fine. Straand's shampoo, conditioner, and crown fix serum are amazing, but Pre-Wash Scalp Oil and Exfoliating Scalp Scrub are now my favourite secret weapons.
